Global & Experiential Learning:
The Global & Experiential Learning Department leads all learning experiences that take place outside of school, both nationally and internationally. From day trips in the city to grade-level field trips, student exchanges, global conferences and participation in international networks, our goal is to broaden students’ horizons, foster their autonomy and connect what they learn in the classroom with the real world. Through these experiences, we promote a holistic education that builds global citizens, empathetic and committed to their environment.
EXPLORE:
Trips around Colombia are of great value for the integral education and personal growth of students at Anglo. Educational trips are a tool for the development of skills other than those acquired in class. The students complement their academic and personal processes during the trips by getting closer to other realities and building their own concept of the country, with which in the future they can have a positive impact on the social and environmental construction of Colombia or the place where they are.
Anglo Exchange
Programme:
In ninth grade students have the opportunity to do a reciprocal cultural exchange of 1 to 3 months in international schools around the world. This programme promotes skills such as autonomy, flexibility and resilience, among others, and allows them to gain a global perspective while strengthening their self-esteem.
ROUND SQUARE
Since 2009 we have belonged to this network of international schools that promotes the development of global competencies through exchanges, meetings, collaborations and different activities with the aim of getting to know other cultures and developing global thinking.
The schools that belong to this organisation share a commitment to character development and experiential education. Among Round Square’s many activities, Anglo actively participates in the Exchange Programme, the GAP Programme and International Conferences, among others.
GLOBAL & EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING:
DUKE OF EDINBURGH’S INTERNATIONAL AWARD:
Since 2004 the Anglo has offered the opportunity to participate in this personal development and non-formal learning programme for students aged 14-18, which allows them to challenge themselves, develop skills and grow in confidence through voluntary activities, outdoor expeditions and community service.
